As well as the fact that I love bread (baking it and eating it!) this playful collection was
also inspired by the 1990s anthem by Sir Mix-a-Lot ‘Baby got Back’, of which the first
line is ‘I like big butts’ - but in this case it is ‘I like big buns’! My Big (Northern) Buns
design pays homage to the range of bread buns/rolls (sweet and savoury) found primarily
in the North of the UK, including: Stottie, Rowies (aka Aberdeen Butteries), tea cake,
morning roll, barm cake, Whitby lemon bun, bap, Selkirk bannock, scufflers and
bannocks. Original ink and watercolour illustrations with hand lettering.

Set of x4 cards with a design featuring 10 Northern Buns and Baps illustrated in ink and watercolour. Buns include: Stottie, Scuffler, Barm Cake, Bannock, Bap, Whitby Lemon Bun, Selkirk Bannock, Tea Cake, Rowie, and a Morning Roll.
Original watercolour and ink illustrations of a range of Northern buns and baps with hand-written name labels, blank inside ready for your personal message. These cards are sustainably printed on recycled cardstock and come with a kraft envelope, making them a green choice. Each card is 15cm x 15cm.
