Hi there! Welcome to my shop- Islamaymakes.
All of my makes are my own ideas and exclusive to me. Yes- they do cost a little more than mass produced items because they are all one of a kind , handsticthed, embroidered works of felt art.
I use only heirloom quality 100 % wool felt made in Europe and supplied by two UK based companies.
The felt is soft, strong, non-flammable and naturally stain resistant: it doesn't lose shape or go bobbly and contains no nasty chemicals.
I use natural 100% British wool fleece for stuffing my makes. It has been carefully washed and dried in the UK and has not been bleached or subjected to any chemical processes.
Natural wool’s advantages over synthetic alternatives are clear; it is hypoallergenic, odour resistant, and a natural fire retardant.
I sew with DMC or Anchor 100 % cotton threads , Liberty Print Tana Lawn for appliques work and where possible I use Tana Lawn spaghetti cord or cotton sateen ribbon for my hangers.

The Jackalope is a mystical animal of North American folklore described as a jackrabbit with antelope horns.
Folklorists see the jackalope as one of a group of ‘tall tales’ animals common to North American culture since the turn of the 20th century. These fabulous animals appear in ‘tall tales’ featuring fur bearing trout , giant snakes and many others.

This unusual OOAK Halloween hanging felt decoration is of a Jackalope - a mystical Folklore creature.

He is made from wool felt in a rich purple with yellow/ gold contrasts,decorated using DMC cotton thread and stuffed with washed wool fleece.
He is a sustainable product meant to be treasured over the years to come.
A great gift either to yourself or someone who enjoys a bit of Halloween and autumn fun.

Although very attractive to both adults and children, my makes they are NOT toys. They are decorative accessories and as such have not been tested for toy safety.
