Huge fluffy cumulus clouds are inspiring and a delightful subject to paint, especially in soft pastel. I aimed to capture the strength of the cloud, along with its delicate colours, and support it by including the sea below.

An original pastel painting on artist-quality pastelMat card, measuring 12 x 9 inches (30 x 24cm approx). Unframed.
Coastlines are excellent places for viewing clouds and weather systems. This image is of a towering cumulus cloud, softened by afternoon light and the hazy air above the sea.
The pastel is lightly fixed and ready to frame as wished, but recommended to be under glass with a separating mountboard.
The work will be posted protected with glassine paper and rigid boards/foam.
