Full description
Fused glass panel of a brightly coloured kingfisher standing on a branch overlooking the bulrushes. Created from precision hand cut opaque art glass, set on a clear base panel and kiln-fused at 760°C, a temperature which maintains the texture. I chose vivid pumpkin orange and teal blue to depict the kingfisher, as well as steel blue for the wing, which develops an unusual pewter metallic sheen once fused. The panel is presented in a handmade natural oak stand.
The panel measures 19cm square approx and looks beautiful displayed in front of a window, The panel and the stand will be packed separately for posting. To display, gently slide the panel into the clamps and use a screwdriver to tighten just enough to hold the panel. Do not over tighten as you risk cracking the glass.
