I wanted a safer alternative to wax, I live with a neurological condition and was forever knocking the wax over. The salt doesn’t melt or get really hot so doesn’t burn you. It is also easier to dispose of. Once the fragrance oil has dispersed, you can safely dispose in the garden either directly on a weed, or protect your favourite plant from slugs by making a ring around.
