Full description
Water maidens, naiads and mermaids have been a part of our imaginations and literature for longer than anyone knows. From the Little Mermaid to Goldberry, the river-woman's daughter and wife of Tom Bombadil, these female water beings have captured our hearts. Some are benign and helpful, others,,,not so much. This little lady is one of the friendlier types as you can see from her smiling face.
This little figurine would look beautiful on your shelf, or as part of your winter decorations, although she is equally at home at any time of the year. Her golden hair brings a touch of sunshine.
She has been created by needle felting wool over a wire frame. Her arms can be bent into different positions. Her dress is blue wool, with beautiful natural curls around the hem of her skirt, which suggests gentle waves and the spray of water.
She measures approximately 14 cm (5.5 inches) high.
This item is intended as an ornamental display item only, as she is somewhat fragile and was created using a wire frame. She should be kept out of reach of children and pets..
