Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A design from 2014 and I've made lots more since that first one. A cross with a patchwork design in vibrant rainbow colours.
The cross is 9.5 x 15 cm.
I have cut the individual pieces from Rainbow shades of glass, always my favourite, using a mixture of 17 different textures and shades covering the 7 colours of the spectrum. I've then fitted them together like a patchwork.
The outer edge is framed with twisted wire for strength and neatness.
It looks wonderful hanging in the window, catching the sun.
It is a simple cross shape but the patchwork arrangement of colours is classic stained glass design.
A silver coloured little chain is securely attached to the top of the cross at both sides to allow it to hang straight.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
The last photo shows a rainbow cross together with a blue-purple and a red version also for sale as separate listinsg.
