I designed this for a commission and liked it so much I added it to my catalogue. I've made quite a few pigs like this since.

Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A pig, round and pink and named Henrietta.
The pig is made entirely from pink glass with lots of streaks and is in 3 layers with the face and ears soldered on top of the body and then the snout and eyes onto the face.
I've painted on nostrils and freckles and then baked the painted glass in the oven for permanency. Nothing like a bit of oven warmth to get some crackling onto the piggy.
I've cut the eyes from my previous dichroic glass to make them extra sparkly.
This pretty little pig is finished off with a curl of wire for a tail and more wire curls on top of the head. I've framed the body with twisted wire which makes it lovely and strong and give a nice near outline.
A silver coloured little chain is securely attached to the top of the pig with a little ring to hang it.
The pig is 10 cm hign and 7 cm wide.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
This would make a wonderful present for a pig collector..
