Full description

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.

An African map with the regions in different colours of the rainbow. I've added a little plump green glass heart on a chain off the East coast to represent Madagascar.

I've used different textures of glass as well as colour to give the suncatcher movement.

It hangs from a silvery chain which is securely attached at the top by soldered wire rings..

I've framed it with twisted wire which strengthens and neatens the suncatcher..

The suncatcher is lovely in its simplicity and would make an unusual and beautiful present, especially of course for someone with African connections.

It looks super hanging in the window where it shines and catches the light and is 12cm x 14cm..

This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
