I always try to make sure I have something for everybody. For musicians I already make a violin and a cello but no other musical pieces so decided it was time I added a piano to my repetoire

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A piano. I've made an octave of keys in shiny white glass.
I've cut the accidental keys, not in black like a real piano, but from five rainbow shades.
To give it a more attractive shape I've formed the keyboard on a slight curve and I've framed it for strength and neatness with twisted wire.
It is approximately 12 x 6 cm and hangs from a silver little chain securely attached at either side of the top by soldered rings.
Really pleased with this piece. i think it will make a super and unique gift for a pianist.
Please note that this is made of glass and is delicate and is an ornament not a toy.
This item is totally individual. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
