Elizabeth is an old Salem witch.
She is made from grungy calico, which has been tea stained and painted. She has an old rusty flat headed nail for her nose, with embroidered features. Her straggly hair is sculptured with Spanish moss.
Elizabeth’s bodice is painted on, as are her witch’s boots. Her skirt and witch’s hat have been painted too, and both are finished off with stained scrim. Her pinny is tied on with a piece of jute.
To finish off the doll, she has a dated round tag fixed on with a rusty safety pin, a black cat made from linen, and her broom is a garden twig with attached natural material.
She is designed for sitting, but if you’d like me to add a hanging loop just let me know at the time of ordering.
Doll length - 58cm. Seated she measures approx 40cm.
