Full description
With his baseball cap at a jaunty angle and his basketball under his arm, this newly arrived, all American boy, is ready to venture out in his quest to find new friends to play with. He knows that football is the National game but is sure that between them, he and the neighbours boys and girls can make up new rules that will suit both countries.
His name is Jonte which is an American version of John or Jonathon and means God is Gracious.
He is dressed for the cooler climate in his sweatpants, sweater and Puffa Jacket, which will likely be needed as one of the goal posts soon. Have a good game, Jonte.
His cap, puffa jacket and trainers are removable and of course the basketball is separate, the body, legs, arms, head, sweatpants are made and assembled together.
I crocheted him in Schachenmayr Catania cotton from an Amigurumi pattern by CAROcreated, available on Ravelry. He comes with a metal stand as shown and therefore measures 16” high, ready to be put on display as an example of a truly hand-crafted doll which has taken many hours to complete
