What a beauty this is (if I do say so myself!)
Three glass ammonites and four glass bead that have been stone tumbled to resemble sea glass have been combined with rondelle shaped haematite stones when creating this necklace.
The ridges on the ammonites have been turned matte and the grooves still remain shiny, as though they have been worked on by the action of waves of the sea.
The glass, when hot was shaped by hand in a brass mould into an ammonite before being placed in a kiln to anneal.
The central stone coloured ammonite is 1 14 across, the smaller ones each side are 1 across. The baby blue sea glass beads are approximately 12 diameter.
The necklace has Sterling Silver chain and a 13mm hammered toggle and bar clasp and is approximately 18" (46cm) in length.
All my lampwork beads are digitally kiln annealed after shaping in the flame to give greater resilience and durability and once cooled I clean out the clay mandrel release thoroughly by hand reaming before I use them in my designs. The photos show the colour of the beads as accurately as possible, however, there could be slight variations in shade depending on your monitor. Remember that these are individually handcrafted so may have small imperfections or variations between each one, which makes each of my beads beautifully unique!
