Full description
For the hostess with the mostest, two pretty pinch salt bowls on stands with spoons, just the thing to make her dining table extra special.
The top one in the photograph is made of sterling silver, with the bowls gold plated.
The lower one in the photograph has the bowl and spoon made of gold plated sterling silver and the base is made of a metal called shibuishi, this is a Japanese metal that I made in my studio that takes on an intriguing patination with various (not very nice) chemicals. I have chosen not to patinate it, instead I've polished it so that it's lovely pinky colour shows.
Both bases have a pierced design and are polished so that they catch the light, particularly lovely in candle light.
These make an ideal wedding or anniversary gift.
All the silver components have been fully hallmarked.
