I wanted to make an oversize puffy sleeve cardigan and the yarn I choose suits a granny square well, it offers self striping colours which means I can make a whole panel without having to change colours each time. It’s cosy for the winter, but also offers itself well as a cooler evening coverup with breathable spaces in the design so you don’t over heat.

Full description
Measurements:
Across the back from underarm to underarm: 30 inches
Front panels: 14 inches across each
Shoulder to hem: 33 inches
Shoulder to sleeve cuffs: 34 inches
This cardigan is made in a self patterning yarn so works up completely uniquely depending on the stitch used.
I’ve made a series of large granny squares panels and sewn them together with a raised joining stitch to give a chunky texture to the piece.
It can of course be reversed for a smoother appearance, wear it your way!
The sleeves are designed to be big and puffy so the cuff is snug to hold the shape of the sleeve so they don’t keep dropping.
This is an over sized piece which will fit from size 20-30 uk
It’s designed to be worn open but you can of course wear a brooch to hold the front together.
