I've always loved Sanderson fabric and this pattern really doesn't disappoint. My only dilemma was what to make from this gorgeous remnant as it lends itself beautifully to so many projects. The peonies and lilac are perfect for Spring and, as my daughter observed, the sand-coloured background won't show the dirt quite so easily as a paler fabric! She's used a number of my bags to carry things to and from Uni and work, so can bear testimony to just how many things they will hold!

Full description

With its lilac and peony design, this gorgeous floral shopping bag is perfect for Spring. Made from a remnant of vintage Sanderson 'Pangbourne' fabric in a cotton/linen blend, it is lined with a co-ordinating sage green polka dot cotton fabric. The fabric is new but dates back to 1996.

The bag is super spacious and will fold up to fit neatly into your handbag, but is large enough to fit all manner of goodies, from library books to lunchboxes.

It measures approximately 47cm x 37 cm and the straps are long enough to wear as a shoulder bag. I've tried to show it's size in relation to a magazine in the last photograph to give you an idea of just how gloriously capacious it is!

Please be aware that as the pattern is quite large, the positioning of the flowers will vary slightly from bag to bag depending upon how the fabric is cut.

Slightly more expensive than my other bags, as the fabric cost me more money, however free 2nd class postage is included in the price.
