Welcome to Janiemade and my little corner of Folksy where you can buy my crocheted creations. If you're looking for skilfully handmade gifts and home decor I hope you'll find something you love. I enjoy crocheting with natural fibres, mainly cotton, and many of my home decor items use recycled braided cotton cord or recycled cotton T shirt yarn. All items are ready to post and I only charge postage on your first item. Your order will be sent by Royal Mail 2nd class post.

I love working with braided macrame cord, it's ideal for crocheting useful and decorative items for the home. The cord really shows off the crocheted stitches used to create each item.
I was intrigued to learn this special crochet stitch that looks just like knitting, it's ideal for containers too as it gives added strength to the sides.

Full description
A small round container made from recycled cotton braided cord in Natural with a heart pattern on the front in Blossom Pink. It is crocheted in waistcoat stitch that gives a knitted look that provides good definition to the heart shape. The item is flexible yet keeps its shape well.
This pretty little crochet pot makes a great plant pot cover for an airplant, small cactus or succulent and is a useful size for storing bits & bobs around the house, in a bedroom or bathroom. It is an ideal size for keeping nail polish, lipsticks or makeup brushes tidy on a dressing table, and sturdy enough to be used as a pencil pot on a desk. It would make a thoughtful small gift for a friend or an inexpensive useful treat for yourself!
Measurements: Approximately 9cm diameter base, internal diameter 7cm, and 8cm in height.

Care instructions: I recommend a gentle surface clean with a damp cloth to remove dust but item may be carefully washed by hand at 30C. Reshape whilst damp and leave to dry; Do not bleach; Do not iron; Do not tumble dry.
