Butterflies are an obvious subject for an enamelled, offering a wealth of decorative patterns to exploit the sheen and sparkle of the enamels.They provide me with regular inspiration.

Full description
After building up several layers of clear enamel on the copper shape, I have added a layer of red. Red enamel will readily burn to black and in this case it has generated a subtle blue-black derkening of the edges of the wings.
The butterfly measures 48mm from tip to tip of its upper wings, 28mm from the tip of the upper wings to the tip of the lower pair. I have soldered a 60mm brooch bar to the reverse of the butterfly. The brooch pin secures with a rotating catch.
Your butterfly will be sent, boxed as shown, by Royal Mail, first class, tracked.
