Full description
A divinely drippy, glazed Hedgehog mug, which I created by hand using slab clay. The cosmic nighttime quality of the interior glaze was specially selected to reflect the nocturnal habits of the hedgehog. The reaction with the exterior, foggy glaze around the rim is also lovely and is reminiscent of twigs, roots, and bark.
The design of the hedgehog cannot be found elsewhere, as it was produced by my custom-made ceramic stamps. After the assembling of the clay slab and the drying process, the mug was kiln-fired, hand-painted, and fired again for the curating of the glaze and bringing the mug to stoneware quality.
