I have been making stained glass pieces for several years and I thought it was about time to try making a mirror. This is my first piece and I am pleased with the result.

Full description
A handmade mirror framed with a stained glass pattern of leaves and flowers. This was made using the tiffany method. All pieces of glass, including the mirror glass, were cut by hand, the edges ground and copper foil tape applied around the edges of the glass. They were then soldered together by hand. I used a black patina to darken the solder and give the appearance of lead. To protect the back of the mirrored glass I applied a couple of layers of clear varnish. I have added 2 hooks and a chain to hang the mirror.
The whole piece measures 26.5 cm tall x 14 cm wide. The mirror glass piece is 16cm x 10cm.
