I have attempted to cacth these wonderful sculptures in oil, but the sheer majesty of them can only be felt by a personal visit.
A Kelpie is an ancient mythical creature of Irish and Scottish folklore, said to be a shape shifting spirit that inhabits lochs.

Full description
The Kelpies shown in this original painting are on display at the Helix Park in Falkirk. Each one standing at 100ft tall and weighing in excess of 300 tons, they are said to be the largest equine sculptures in the world. I hope I have caught the mahesty of these wonderful man made structural feats.
