A perfect harbinger of Spring and a lovely present
I'm a lover of sunny days and blue skies so find the greyness of winter a little wearing. Nothing better to compensate than the brightness of a spring flower.

Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A beautiful bright yellow Daffodil, framed in pretty clear, gently textured glass.
The petals and trumpet in the middle are from 5 different types and textures of bright yellow glass. The streaks in the glass and different shades and textures gives it all movement especially when it catches the light.
The daffodil fits over the frame in some places to give a 3-dimensional effect especially as the spaces round the flower are not filled in.
I've added twisted wire round the frame to really set the picture off well and give added strengh.
The suncatcher is 5” wide, 5 1/4” high and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached at either side of the top.
I never make two pieces exactly the same. Even from the same pattern I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
A lovely present at any time for someone you love.
