I have sunflowers growing in pots outside my garage and they nod to me every time I go past - which is often as I work in the garage.
I always leave them in place after they've finished flowering so the birds can pick off the seeds and those they miss will hopefully self seed for next year.

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
It is a gorgeous bright yellow sunflower with 8 petals made from 2 different shades and textures of lovely sunshine yellow glass.
For the centre I made a special fused glass nugget. I fused this in my kiln and it is unique with a little dichroic or frit deccoration and makes the sunflower extra special..
This would make a beautiful present for anyone as it is in such cheerful shades of sunshine yellow.
This flower looks really lovely hanging in the window where it shines and catches the light all year round.
It is 11cm in diameter and hangs from a little silvery chain securely attached at the top.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass and embellishments such as the beads in the middle.
My suncatchers make super presents and are also really good when hanging in French or conservatory windows to stop the birds flying into the glass.
I have four for sale at this time of listing and this listing is for one of them.
