Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
The idea is to create something new from old, found by chance, full of history and character. To present and deliver unique Eco Friendly gifts in Sustainable Packaging.
I love collecting ceramic discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. Favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-worked and crafted into something new. Bits and bobs found by chance waiting to find new homes.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
All ceramic personally collected from river banks, charity shops, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each item comes with a short bio. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece. Ceramic will show marks, scratches and imperfections, all part of its history and journey.

Hand Crafted into Earrings

I love collecting anything broken, lost or found by chance. There’s a small patch of boggy ground beside the River Tees. Downpours expose all sorts of broken pot, glass, bits of pipes and wonderful oyster shells.
I found a small striking shard of ceramic, part of a rim of a plate. After a thorough clean I was able to drill holes and shape into two pairs of earrings. This pair are the larger with front and back glaze in tact with the area around the hole is sanded and sealed with eco friendly matt sealant.
Unique, full of history, found by chance and re-created into earrings. Similar in size and shape but not exactly. The idea is to re-use the ceramic found but keep its original character. The finished item is not meant to be perfect or highly polished.
Each earring measures approximately 23mm x 10mm (widest) x 2mm.
Full drop approximately 40mm.
Hanging Sterling Silver 925 hooks and jump rings.
Delivered in gift box made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Presented on Jewellery box insert made from tall oil, a by-product of paper production. Sustainable gifts, complete with short bio and gift bag.
