The inspiration for the the little horses is my Mothers Dala horse which was given to her when she was a child. In turn she gave me the horse when I was a little girl for my Sindy doll to trot around on, as she was horseless.
The old Dala horse sits on my shelf along with a couple of others I have collected along the way.

I’m having a little clear out and letting a few things go that have been lurking around for too long.
This little fellow spent a year or so packed away in a box whilst I moved house and then hung around in the Nook of Nonsense (real shop unit now closed) for while.
There’s nothing really wrong with them other than a little shop tired.
I would like to clear the decks so I can start making some new ones

The Little Purple Unicorn is a little bit of magic in my new soft sculpture collection.
He is completely hand stitched by myself using a variety of embroidery stitches, making him totally unique.
I mainly use vintage Anchor and DMC threads.
His body is made from purple and cream wool felt and is carefully filled with Hi-Loft polyester stuffing.
Little Purple Unicorn is approximately 17cm tall from horn to hoof and measures approximately 14cm from horn to tail.
After a long day of making magic his moveable legs make it possible for him to sit down and take a rest ( see photos).
