Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
The idea is to create something new from old, found by chance unique, full of history and character. To present and deliver Eco Friendly gifts in Sustainable Packaging.
I love collecting ceramic discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. Favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-worked and crafted into something new. Bits and bobs found by chance waiting to find new homes.

Additional terms
All ceramic personally collected from river banks, charity shops, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each item comes with a short bio. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece. Ceramic will show marks, scratches and imperfections, all part of its history and journey.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Re-Created Pendant

On 6th January 2024 while walking beside The River Tees I found a pretty shard of ceramic, a small blue and white piece. Due to a heavy frost the shard was frozen to the ground. After a bit of pushing I managed to lift the lovely triangle shape. After a thorough clean I gently drilled a hole and sanded the edges following the shape. This created a small unique pendant, one of a kind, full of history.
Front and back glaze in tact. Sealed with eco friendly non toxic matt sealant.
The idea is to create something new from old. The finished piece isn’t meant to be perfect or highly polished but instead retain part of the original character.
Found by chance on a bright, frosty January morning, once part of another life, now starts again as a necklace.
Pendant measures approximately 17mm x 16mm (widest) x 5mm
Hanging on 18” sterling silver snake chain.
Delivered in gift box made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Presented on Jewellery box insert made from tall oil, a by-product of paper production. Sustainable gifts, complete with short bio and gift bag.
