This Lino print is inspired by the Humble jack-o-lanterns; originating from Celtic traditions in Irland, Scotland and Wales and being primarily carved from turnips, swedes or other large root vegetables then placed into windows or near doorways to frighten away Stingy Jack and other wandering evil spirits.
During mass emigration in the early 20th century, people took their traditions with them when they came to the United States, where pumpkins were more readily available and easier to carve due to their size than their trusty old root vegetables. This is how the iconic Halloween tradition came to be.

This is a high-quality original Lino print artwork Printed on 21 x 21 cm white recycled 300 GSM card. This print was made with 2 separate blocks with 3 layers of traditional linseed oil-based ink, colours and ink texture may vary slightly for photographs
The print is sold UNFRAMED and shipped wrapped in tissue paper inside a recycled envelope in an attempt to keep my shop as Eco friendly as possible.
Postage Details:
This print will then be posted plastic-free in a hard backed envelope to avoid damage and arrive in perfect condition.
UK postage is free of charge and will be via Royal Mail 2nd class post. If you wish to upgrade to first class, signed for or tracked postage, please contact me to check the additional cost.
For Overseas postage Please contact me directly. As prices vary widely I will calculate it for individuals to give you the best price.
