My partner is Scottish and we've had many happy trips to different parts of Scotland, most recently to see rare butterflies so I've been studying flowers more closely and the Thistle, which also happens to be Scotland's National Flower is a particularly beautiful wild flower.

A contemporary version of an old Scottish Emblem. This anodised aluminium thistle brooch is the ideal piece of jewellery to wear on Burns Night, a celebration of the Life of Robert Burns, Scotland’s National Poet, celebrated on or near the Poet’s Birthday, 25th January.
Measuring 70mm in height it has a sterling silver safety clasp which has been chemically bonded to its back (because you can’t solder aluminium)
Presented in a card box and delivered in recycled packaging with care instructions to help you keep your Aluminium/Silver Jewellery looking its best.
