The design on this stoneware ceramic dish is inspired by a line from a well known Gaelic Blessing-Deep Peace of the Flowing Air to you.
After carving patterns into the leather hard clay I biscuit fired the plate to 950 degrees. Then I used underglazes to create the bright design and finished it off with a clear shiny glaze. Finally the plate is fired to 1220 degrees. The back is left unglazed and finished with my maker’s mark.
These plates can either be used as serving dishes or displayed on a stand or wall hung. The dish will be posted out free of charge ,to you well wrapped in recycled materials.
