I wanted to make a bowl that could be used as many things as possible, a key bowl, change bowl, snack bowl to a 25th Silver Wedding anniversary, or a 5th Wooden Wedding anniversary present, or a gorgeous bowl to sit on a shelf in pride of place. The silver embellishing wax attaches to the Grain on the Ash wood on the outer part of the bowl as Ash has an nice open grain its looks really nice when the light hits it, without being too much.

A lovely 5-inch round bowl, around 2.5 inches deep.
Made from solid Ash a hardwood with a gorgeous open grain which contrasts with the wood. To highlight this in a subtle way I have use a silver embellishing wax which holds in the grain on the outside of the bowl.
It adds a subtle tint but does look amazing when put under light.
The inside is a deep convex shape which results in you having to run your fingers down its smooth edges. Finished in Wax it's the most wonderful gift idea which will last a lifetime.
Whether you are looking for a gift for someone, or to have in your home, this Ash Bowl will add a touch of class to any room. Also suitable as a silver anniversary or a 5th anniversary which is wood.
