Full description
Moongazing hares tote bag. This lovely tote bag is made from textured plum purple upholstery fabric, and has an appliqué scene featuring two hares, gazing at the full moon. The hares are made from two matching cotton print fabrics with a pattern of twining stems. One is cream with the pattern depicted in dusky lilac and olive green. The other is plum purple with the pattern depicted in dusky lilac, cream and golden beige. Each hare has a black sequin eye. The moon is made from a pale ivory fabric with a slight sheen and is outlined with circles of free-motion embroidery. I’ve added some cream flower-shaped buttons with olive green, hand-embroidered stems. The bag is lined with lilac satin fabric with a woven pattern of small diamonds.
This versatile tote bag is perfect for use as a shopping bag but it could also be used as a handbag, project bag or occasional bag. With its beautiful plum purple colour and delightful moongazing hares, it would make a lovely gift for anyone who loves hares and/or purple.
The approximate measurements of the tote bag are:
14 inches (35cm) high x 12.5 inches (32cm) wide x 3 inches (8cm) across the base. The handles are approx. 24 inches (60cm) from end to end, and are of a length that can be worn on the shoulder or carried as a handbag.
