The triple moon is a well known design and when I saw a Miracle bead glowing one day I searched to find some large enough to be used in something like this as they really do look like a hazy full moon. The mandala cut-out moons are a new aspect to my brooch and I am so pleased with them and the tinkling noise the make!

Full description
A versatile brooch that can be used to pin onto scarves, coats or tops. It is equally at home on rucksacks, bags or anything it can be safely pinned to.
The silver tone kilt pin fitting has two large mandala design crescent moon charms and a 20mm Miracle bead. Miracle beads are made of several layers then finished with a lacquer to gives the effect of a glowing bead within the bead in strong light. A little like the full moon with a glowing halo!
An added - and unexpected - bonus is that the stainless steel moons make a little wind chime type sound as they tap against the centre bead!
All metal fittings are lead and nickel safe.
This design represents the maiden, mother and crone aspects of the Goddess, popularised by 'The White Goddess' by the author Robert Graves. It was also adopted by the feminist movement and is a symbol in Jungian psychology.
