Butterflies are a symbol of the resurrection. The caterpillar is our material worldly existence, the caterpillar then retreats to its cocoon, appearing dead, as Christ was laid lifeless in the tomb after the crucifixion. Later, the caterpillar emerges as a butterfly and has been transformed into something more beautiful and powerful.
"So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonour, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body." (1 Corinthians 15:42-44).
I have chosen garnet beads not only for their beauty and colour but also because it is believed by many that the jacinth that provided light within Noah's Ark was indeed a garnet.

Full description
These Anglican Prayer Beads feature a sterling silver cross with dark red garnet, petal pink rose quartz and solid silver butterflies. It is not a necklace and cannot be worn.
The Invitatory bead and the four Cruciform beads are silver butterflies with a 3mm sterling silver bead either side. 8mm polished deep red garnet rounds form the weeks. Between the first two beads are two 935 silver sun pattern tube beads.
Between the main beads are 3mm rose quartz beads with 2mm sterling silver beads. The wire guardian just above the cross is silver-filled.
The prayer beads are in a continuous loop and measure approx. 11 inches/28 cm from the base of the Cross to the third Cruciform bead. The cross is stamped 925 on the reverse and measures approx 3.1 x 2.3 cm (not including the loop).
All my rosaries are already made and ready to post, I'm sorry I can't adjust or amend these or take on custom orders. They are all one of a kind.
As with all my prayer beads and rosaries, they are coiled up inside their own gift pouch during transit and may retain some shape when they arrive.
