PLEASE NOTE
I AM UPDATING PRODUCT BOXES FOR JEWELLERY AND DECORATIONS WHICH WILL TAKE AWHILE, IF YOU PURCHASE YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR ORDER IN THE NEW BOXES AS DESCRIBED BELOW.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
The idea is to create something new from old, found by chance unique, full of history and character. To present and deliver Eco Friendly gifts in Sustainable Packaging.
I love collecting ceramic discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. Favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-worked and crafted into something new. Bits and bobs found by chance waiting to find new homes.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
All ceramic personally collected from river banks, charity shops, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each item comes with a short bio. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece. Ceramic will show marks, scratches and imperfections, all part of its history and journey.

Ceramic discovered

Re-Created Pendant
November 2023
I love collecting anything broken, lost or found by chance. There’s a small patch of ground beside the River Tees which gets boggy and drenched during heavy rains. The downpours expose all sorts of broken pot, glass, bits of pipes and wonderful oyster shells.
I found a lovely chunky piece of ceramic, sitting face up, striking blue bird pattern. After a thorough clean I started to sand the edges, following the shape of the shard. This naturally developed into an oval, creating a pendant. The design shows two birds flying towards each other, this is the famous Blue Willow pattern, developed in 1779 and still in production today. Blue Willow tells a legendary love story which ends with the lovers being turned into doves. The pendant has both birds, a symbol of ever lasting love.
Front glaze in tact, back fully sanded. Sealed with eco friendly non toxic matt sealant.
The idea is to re-use the ceramic found but keep its original character. The finished item is not meant to be perfect or highly polished.
Pendant measures approximately 31mm x 16mm (widest) x 3mm
Hanging on grey vegan waxed cord 45cm Long with 5cm extender.
Delivered in small brown gift box and gift bag made with recycled materials and comes with short bio.
