Full description
Lilac coiled rope trinket bowl. This lovely little textile bowl has been made from lilac cotton rope, which has been coiled, whilst being stitched on my sewing machine, and formed into a bowl shape. During this process, sections of the rope have been wrapped with strips of fabric, adding pretty blocks of pattern and colour to the finished dish. The lovely lilac rope is complemented beautifully by the fabric, which is a delightful ditsy floral print in pretty shades of blue, pink and grey, on a cream background. The dish has been finished with a decorative loop and two wooden buttons, one on the inside and one on the outside of the bowl. The natural wood buttons are inscribed with the word “Handmade” and two tiny hearts.
This lovely little bowl can be used purely as a decorative ornament, or could be used as a means to store small knick-knacks. It would make a lovely gift, perhaps for a new home.
The approximate measurements of the bowl are:
6 inches (15.5cm) diameter x 2 inches (4.5cm) high
