Full description
Flower garden embroidery. An abstract embroidered garden stitched with fabric, ribbon and thread in a light frame. Modern free style hand embroidery giving an impression of a pink, mauve and lemon garden. Almost a Monet.
Hand stitched using many different threads a textile art picture in pink, lemon, mauve and green. This small embroidery gives an impressionistic view of a summer cottage garden. It is made using stitches and threads that overlay each other, building up to give a textural surface. Different threads have been used with a few tiny pink and mauve beads added to give highlights. The embroidery is layered onto a piece of handmade paper and then onto cream mountboard.
The frame measures 20 x 15 x 3.5 centimeters (8 x 6 x 1 inches) and the embroidery in the centre of the mount measures 8 x 5 centimeters (3 x 1.75 inches). The frame can be hung on a wall or displayed standing on a flat surface.
The work is perspex glazed but to give a better picture the photos have been taken without the glazing
