Full description

Perfect for cheering up your winter shopping, this gorgeous floral bag is made from a pair of 1970s vintage curtains in shades of red, green and silver. It is lined with new, bottle green gingham cotton fabric.

As soon as I spotted the curtains I loved the vibrant pattern and couldn't wait to take my scissors to them! The bag is super spacious and will fold up to fit neatly into your handbag, but is large enough to store all manner of wintery sundries!

It measures approximately 47cm x 37 cm and the straps are long enough to wear as a shoulder bag. I've tried to show it's size in relation to a magazine in the last photograph to give you an idea of just how gloriously capacious it is!

Free 2nd class postage is included in the price.

I bought these curtains online where they were advertised as bark cloth but unfortunately they are not. Please be aware that they are synthetic 1970s curtains and not cotton or linen. I've washed the fabric twice to freshen it, therefore the colours are not as bright as they would have been when they were first made but they are still very pretty; please also take into consideration that the curtains are also approximately fifty years old!

I love that they have had a previous life and think it adds, rather than detracts, from its charm but have charged a lower price than my usual bags because of this.
