This design was inspired by the enchanting woodland birds that inhabit the Chine next to my studio in Dorset, I adore their large plump bellies and distinctive, elegant tails.

Full description
The Birdy lampshade has a bold colour & striking design with an offset repeat pattern in orange and white birdies, making a vibrant color statement in the home. The pattern is designed to be reversible, giving you the flexibility to use it as both a table light and part of a pendant shade.
Developed in my seaside studio, starting as a sketch, evolving into a lino print, and digitally transformed into the unique Flowers for Susie pattern & colour palette.
All lampshades are handmade by myself here in Dorset and are finished to a premium quality with a rolled edge and a premium folded seam.
Assembled shade size:
20cm Diameter, 18cm height
Material:
Heavy Weave 100% half panama cotton, painted steel wire shade rings, plastic shade ring adaptor
Bulb Advice:
Suitable for BC, ES & SES lamp holders. Ensure minimum 30mm distance from the widest point of your chosen bulb and the inside of the shade.
We recommend the use of low energy bulbs with your lampshades.
Testing:
Lampshade lining materials and frame have been tested and pass the glow wire test carried out by the Lighting Association.
Packaging:
All packaging is biodegradeable
Please note:
Lead time for handmade lampshades is normally 3 weeks from order date but this may be extended in busy periods. If the lampshade will take longer than 3 weeks I will be in touch to check the timings work for you. If you need your lampshade sooner just getting in touch
