Full description
A collection of nature inspired original art on candle votives and vases.
By Artist and Printmaker Rachel Keenan.
Created using the Cyanotype process onto watercolour paper which is then adhered to glass.
Each piece is printed and made by hand, making them unique no two are the same.
The welcoming soft light and illuminated glow lifts the texture of the paper allowing colours to dance.
The variation of form and structure from the foliage and gold leaf will add a touch of naturalness to your home.
Looks splendid both when in use or as a decorative piece. Perfect with fairy lights (as shown)
Materials used: 300GSM textured watercolour paper, gold leaf , UV Matt varnish and glass.
Dimensions: Height 20cm, Diameter 8cm.
Please note that the outside of the vase is paper although it is varnished preferably display with dried flowers inside. It can be used for fresh flowers if preferred but please be careful not to get the outside of the vase in contact with water.
Cyanotype photography is a camera-less technique that involves laying an object on various surfaces coated with a solution of iron salts before exposing it to UV light and washing with water to create white and prussian blue images.
Colours may vary slightly due to individual screen settings.
Thank you for viewing my original work.
