Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
One of my very own designs, brand new for autumn 2018 and I think it is quite stunning and very special.
I've made 4 little square tiles from pale gold glass which surrounds a green leaf, each leaf again a different colour of green glass.
I've framed the 4 small tiles with more green glass and added golden corners as contrast.
This piece comprises 37 individually cut and shaped and copper foiled pieces of glass.
The outer square is framed with a strengthening border of twisted wire.
This is beautifully bright, simple and cheerful and casts lovely colours when it hangs in the light of a window.
It is 16 cm square and hangs from a strong silvery chain which is securely attached at either side of the top.
My pieces are all unique. I use different shades and textures of glass to ensure that everything I make, even when to the same pattern, is different.
The last photo shows this spring green leaf suncatcher together with a red, autumnal version also for sale as a separate listing.
