Full description
These copper verdigris earrings are handmade from rectangles of copper sheet which I've hammer textured and coloured with pigment inks to create the rustic verdigris effect. I've used three different shades of green, building it up in layers and buffing it off for an ancient, weatherworn look.
The green copper earrings hang from handmade copper ear wires and are light and comfortable to wear. They'd make a great 7th anniversary gift, or for anyone who likes unusual copper jewellery.
These are the smaller version of my original, longer verdigris earrings which can be seen as a size comparison in the second to last photo.
Total length from top of ear wires: 5cm (2")
Length of copper rectangle: 3.5cm (1 1/2")
Width at widest point: 1cm (3/8")
If treated with care, the finish on these earrings should be permanent; however, please don't wear them to shower or swim in, and please store them separately from other jewellery so that the surfaces don't become abraded and scratched. As they're all hand painted individually the exact paint pattern will vary from batch to batch; I have included a current batch photo for reference.
