These pin cushions are so popular, a tiny mushroom house was an obvious make and they are great fun to design and make. Using vintage cotton reels with thread on and adding the painted doors and windows.

Another cute little pincushion made from a vintage cotton reel (of course!)…..this time with a Autumnal twist. It’s the season for magical mushrooms!
The green house with red roof has sold - thank you!
The cushion top is hand stitched with French knot detail and filled with those tiny walnut shells of course - to keep our pins sharp!
It stands around 6cms high plus wire as you can see, not much bigger than the original vintage wooden cotton reel.
I wouldn’t use it as a pincushion every day, more for special occasion Autumn stitching.
Remember, one lot of postage covers many a pincushion and tree!
