Full description
This kit contain everything you need to create this art nouveau flower in silk shading. The instructions are step by step and very detailed but due to the technique used, this kit is more suitable for slightly advanced stitcher with some prior experience of silk shading.
Silk shading is an advanced embroidery technique so it is recommend for someone with some experience in embroidery. this flower is the easiest of the collection so a good starting point.
Kit contents:
- 8 full skeins of DMC and Madeira stranded cotton (and some black) - so you can place the colours as you see fit without worrying of running out.
- 2 types of passing
- pelmet vilene
- A piece of calico
- A piece of cotton fabric
- Needles and instructions
In addition, you will need;
A slate or rectangular frame or a 9 inch hoop
A stand like a Lowery stand to allow stitching with both hands
A pair of small sharp embroidery scissors
The kit comes in a nice sturdy box so you can keep all the pieces together and it also makes the perfect gift.
