This is a watercolour of an Irish family farmhouse. You can see houses like these adopted all over the Irish landscape. Most farmers abandoned the smaller whitewashed cottages in favour of the bigger farmhouses and sometimes you can still see the older structures used as barns or animal houses. A few have been restored and a lot have just been abandoned altogether. It is interesting to look at the history of these dwellings throughout the years.
