Full description

This small tapered knitted shawl has been handknit by me using 100% Shetland Wool and some cerise cotton thread that I hand spun myself in September 2013 and the fleece came from a ewe that lived near Morval, Cornwall. The shawl design features a pretty lace design along the lower edge.

Being a natural undyed wool there may be patches of slightly lighter and darker which adds to the rustic nature of the item as just like humans can have natural multi-tones in their hair colour so can sheep.

All of my shawls are presented gently folded in a tissue lined gift box and come with individually created care cards. The gift box can be used for storage or reused as the label should be able to be removed without too much trouble.

Size (approx):

32" across neck edge x 14" deep

Materials:

86% Shetland wool

14% Cotton

Weight:

Approx 105g

Due to differences in monitors and screen resolutions, colours may appear slightly different in real life.

How to clean the item

Clean by gently placing in hand warm water and a specialist delicate soap such as SOAK or Eucalan and allow to soak for 30 minutes, no vigorous rubbing is needed. Gently squeeze out the excess water (do not wring), place on a clean towel, roll it up then press down gently on the towel to soak up as much as possible. Lay out flat on a clean surface to dry, using pins and/or blocking wires to gently stretch the shawl out to shape to maintain its beauty.
