Everything in store has been hand knit or crocheted by myself using high quality vintage yarns, natural fibres, natural fibre blends or yarns that I have hand spun myself. I very rarely use brand new mass produced yarns or chemically produced yarns such as acrylic.
All items are gift boxed as standard, which makes gifting easy whilst also protecting the item during transit, and all items are sent via tracked and insured method for peace of mind of all parties.

Full description
This beautiful, soft and lightweight shawl has been hand knit by me using a yarn I got from a fellow UK based independent creative person several years ago. A knitted lace shawl in gorgeously soft purple and pink cruelty-free Angora with bead detail in blue with pink hues.
Hand knit by me from a Victorian pattern published in 1847 by Jane Gaugain (1804-1860) featuring rose leaves and diamonds. This is what is known as "true lace", as every single row is patterned.
All of my shawls are presented gently folded in a tissue lined gift box and come with individually created care cards. The gift box can be used for storage or reused as the label should be able to be removed without too much trouble.
Size (approx):
62" across neck edge x 18" deep
Materials:
100% cruelty-free Angora wool
248 Japanese glass seed beads
Weight:
Approx 93g
How to clean the item
Clean by gently placing in hand warm water and a specialist delicate soap such as SOAK or Eucalan and allow to soak for 30 minutes, no vigorous rubbing is needed. Gently squeeze out the excess water (do not wring), place on a clean towel, roll it up then press down gently on the towel to soak up as much as possible. Lay out flat on a clean surface to dry, using pins and/or blocking wires to gently stretch the shawl out to shape to maintain it's beauty.
