Full description
This is my Eye of Horus Wall-art
The Eye of Horus is an ancient Egyptian symbol known all around the world. It symbolises healing, protection, rejuvenation, rebirth, resurrection and wholeness. The symbol combined art, anatomy, science and mythology. It is sometimes called the all-seeing eye as a reference to the third eye.
Handmade with earthenware clay using the slab and coiling methods. After its initial bisque firing to 1000c it has been carefully sanded before applying black glaze to define the eye detail - the background has been cleared glazed. It has had a second firing in the kiln to 1160c.
Self-adhesive cork pads have been added to the back to protect surfaces.
Size: 10cm diameter (approx)
All my ceramic creations have been individually handcrafted by me with love and care. No two pieces are the same as each one has its own unique characteristics.
