Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
I love collecting things discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. Favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-created into something new. Bits and bobs of lives all waiting to find new homes.

Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
Hand crafted Jewellery and framed artworks using pre loved and discarded ceramics. Ceramic material will show signs of wear and damage. Entire process is a creative experience from discovery to final picture, nothing planned or preconceived. All materials personally collected from river banks, charity shops, roadside, woods, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each piece comes with a short bio of where the ceramic came from, date found and re-created. Some shards collected are used as found, others are cut randomly which shape the final work. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

In October 2019 I bought a box of broken ceramics from a recycling centre in Barnard Castle, Co Durham. It was filled with smashed plates including a decorative wall plate with a gold spotty rim.
I gently clipped the ceramic and allowed the shards to fall onto a cork board. Many shapes and sizes were created, these earrings are made from two similar shaped pieces, I’ve used the shard as it was formed, this adds to the character of the ceramic and creates unusual unique jewellery. The sides, backs have been fully sanded, sealed with eco friendly non toxic matt sealant.
The idea is to create something new from old, the final piece not meant to be perfect, exact or highly polished. Instead, retains part of its original character.
A lost broken plate destined to be thrown away, recycled, reinvented into earrings.
Delivered in recycled packaging and includes gift box and short bio.
Each earring measures approximately 40mm x 10mm x 2mm.
Full drop approximately 60mm.
