Opal fascinates me, such amazing colours and patterns, although i have hand cut,shaped and polished other gemstones i couldn't wait to get working with Australian opal.

Solid sterling silver Flower Pendant Raindrop Style Necklace set with hand cut and polished cooper pedy opal , a lovely gift for an October Birthday
A beautiful shape with interest showing that opal works well in todays modern contemparary Jewellery designs.
Crafted in solid sterling silver wire the raindrop pendant was hand worked and shaped before soldering on a hand cut and shaped sterling silver flower made from sheet silver.
I then hand cut, shaped and polished the piece of Coober pedy Australian crystal opal and set it on a dark base of Jet, the crystal opal displays colours of stunning aqua, blue, green, pink and lilac, opal size 5 mm round, and set this into a five petaled flower rub over setting.
The size of pendant including small bail is 3.3 cm in height x 1.5 cm wide , the flower approximately 1.4 cm x 1.4 cm, and the opal is 5 mm round.
The pendant carries the full british hallmark and my unique makers mark.
This will arrive on a 16 or 18 inch rolo/belchor chain, please select your length from the options menu , gift boxed with a free piece of polishing cloth.
