Happy shopping, Jane :)
I hate throwing away glass jars so have an ever-growing collection waiting for me to find a use for them! I've come up with a solution at last, to give them another lease of life and look pretty at the same time.

Full description
I was pleased to find a use for jam jars by covering them in crochet!
Glass jars can now enjoy a new life as a vase or storage pot. I have used a soft macrame string to make the cover and used an open stitch pattern so you could also use them as lanterns by adding a battery tealight to give a soft glowing light on an outside table or hung up in the garden.
The finishing touch is the attached sweet little pink flower with leaves, adding to the vintage, feminine feel. It would look lovely on a kitchen window, in a conservatory, garden room or summerhouse. It would brighten up a desk whilst being a useful pot for pens, or look lovely on a dressing table, keeping make-up brushes handy.
This medium size jar cover has a diameter of approximately 8.5cm and is approximately 11cm in height. The cover is supplied complete with the glass jar which will be carefully wrapped in bubblewrap (may be recycled).
Care instructions: I recommend a gentle surface clean with a damp cloth to remove dust. The cover may be washed by hand at 30C; do not leave to soak. Reshape whilst damp and leave to dry; Do not bleach; Do not iron; Do not tumble dry.
